⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem Full of Heart – Poppy and Rye Cottage, Waco TX From the moment we stepped into Poppy and Rye Cottage, we were wrapped in warmth, comfort, and something you don’t often find—love that lingers in the walls. This wasn’t just a place to stay. It was an experience. Every corner, every detail, felt intentional—like someone truly cared. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully designed, and inviting beyond words. Plush linens, thoughtful extras, and little touches made it feel like home…but better. What made it unforgettable, though, was the story woven throughout the space. You could feel Poppy’s presence everywhere. His legacy lives on in the art, the books, the cozy corners, the memories curated into the soul of the home. It didn’t just tell a story—it welcomed you into it. The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet close to all that Waco has to offer. But honestly, we didn’t want to leave the cottage at all.

Poppy & Rye was perfection! We love music, so the nearby bar didn't bother us a bit. They thought of every detail and more. Perfection perfected, and we loved the fun surprises!

First time in Waco, doing a mini trip from Houston to celebrate a birthday. So glad we found this as the location was perfect and having the kitchen and extra space was much more comfortable than a hotel. They had thoughtful touches all over and had it not been so hot we would have really enjoyed the outdoor space. If we find ourselves in the area again, I would very likely try to book here again!

WOW! Of the many AirBnb’s we have visited, this is without a doubt our favorite; not only due to the value, size, location, comfort, & special decor, but this house has a special place in our hearts. This is the house my husband grew up in from the time he was 12-22 yrs old. We realized it was available & rented it for a recent visit to attend his 60th high school reunion. Don’t let the age of the house concern you; it has been completely renovated & updated and it is GORGEOUS! We felt completely at home & so enjoyed all the little extras (personalized notes, snacks, wine, Dr. Pepper, picture board & visitor map, fireplace & candles lit when we arrived). When I mentioned our connection to the house to the owner, she suggested we meet to share some of my husband’s history with the house & neighborhood that he lived in over 65+ yrs ago. Dana is delightful & her attention to detail is amazing. Thank you for pouring your heart & soul into creating this amazing retreat for all to enjoy.

This place is sooo adorable and in the heart of the Silos. We would stay here again. Very safe, close to lots with a quick drive or short walk. Well planned and thoughtful - some of my favs are the Poppy poems and the supply drawer in the bathroom - if you know - you know😉. This host is top notch!

STOP SCROLLING AND BOOK YOUR STAY BEFORE IT FILLS UP!! Poppy and Rye’s cottage was absolutely perfect!!! We had plans to head over to Magnolia and the Silo’s and this place was 2 blocks away!!! It was a 5 min walk!! Can’t beat that! The house is so cute and has everything you need. The special touch of Poppy’s poems and quotes was very cool!! Back yard was very cute and had a nice hammock! They left out a bottle of wine for us and had extras for sale which was a nice touch!! The master BED WAS SOOO COMFY… we slept so great!! Our 17 month old definitely approved!! Lastly, Dana’s communication was fantastic the entire time. She responded quickly and answered and questions we had! She also gave a ton of recommendations on food and activities in Waco! 5-star! We will be back and hope to check out their larger home next time right down the street!!!

From start to finish, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay. We said several times that this is one of our family’s favorite Airbnbs ever! So many personal touches and all needs met without having to ask. The house is super close to all local Waco attractions, and we just felt very at home. Highly recommend!!

If you are debating…..STAY HERE! The cottage is absolutely perfect for a small family. The special touches were absolutely adorable. Everything is well thought out which makes the stay extra special. The location could not be better! I would definitely stay here again if in Waco.

Location was perfect for walking to town, the chocolate were nice touches, it had a sense of welcome with music on and candles lit when entering and a free bottle of Poppy wine was what the doctor ordered lol. Thank you Dana and Rye
